The breast pumps that are purchased in the store are personal pumps. The Ameda Purely Yours personal electric breast pump is a double electric pump. This pump is designed for breastfeeding mothers that need to pump when returning to work full-time. Personal electric breast pumps, no matter which brand you buy, are single user items and not approved for use between mothers. Although the Ameda Purely Yours has an anti-viral barrier which keeps anything from getting into the tubing or pump motor, the Purely Yours is still a single user item. The Ameda Purely Yours has 4 different packaging and pricing options from $160 through $299. Bottom line, its the same pump packaged four different ways with four different prices. YOU DO NOT NEED TO SPEND $300 ON A QUALITY PUMP!

The Ameda Purely Yours Personal Electric Breast Pump is a double electric pump appropriate for when Mom wants to pump for the occassional bottle or is working full-time. If you work a really demanding, crazy long day, make sure you really understand the art of pumping. Consider a pumping consult. If you have a lactation consultation, we can also discuss pumping and I will provide continued follow up and assistance for your return to work.

A great feature with the Ameda products is the patented anti-viral barrier. There is a barrier between the flange (the cup that is placed to the breast) and the tubing. This means that no air, condensation, milk, or germs get into the tubing and travel and accumulate in the pump motor. This also means, you don't need to clean the tubing....very nice.

All Ameda Purely Yours personal electric breastpumps include the Ameda HygienKit with standard 25.0 mm flanges. ONLY the Ameda Purely Yours Ultra includes additional flange sizes of 30.5 mm flange and 28.5 mm flange insert. The CustomFit Flange System is also available to purchase separately.

If you have no pump and are looking for an inexpensive way express milk, you can purchase the Ameda Manual Pump (pictured below).

Ameda One Hand Manual Breast Pump Assembly
If you already have the Ameda HygieniKit by itself or it came with your Ameda Purely Yours double electric breast pump, you can purchase the one hand pump handle assembly (pictured below) to convert your Ameda HygieniKit into a manual breast pump. If you have a Dual HygieniKit, you can purchase two handles and have two manual pumps and still (manually) double pump.
Converts the Ameda HygieniKit into a manual breast pump.
If you have an Ameda DUAL HygieniKit and want to use two hands, buy two assemblies.
If you have an assembly and need spare parts, these are also available.
